Jeremy and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary, yesterday, April 29! I can't believe it's been 8 years and 3 boys already. I think this year was the first year we did not actually go out and celebrate our anniversary! Jeremy had to leave at 4 a.m. for work and he did not get home until 7:30 p.m.. I managed to crawl out of bed at 3:10 a.m. to round up some breakfast for my wonderful husband. I figured that was the least I could do after 8 years!! :) I ended up making cream of wheat...I know...not too exciting after 8 years, but he had to get going. I did offer to share a cream filled, chocolate covered donut with him. He managed to stay strong and resist! Good choice...being that he is diabetic. I could learn a few lessons!! :) Anyhow...I think that is the first time I've ever eaten a donut that early in the morning. Obviously not the first time I've ever had a donut!!
After he left, I went back to bed and slept until 6 a.m., when little buddy head(Isaiah) woke me up. He is a doll. Blond hair and blue eyes, and a smile that melts your heart. He was ready and excited to get the day started. Jeremiah and Elijah soon followed at 7 a.m.! After doing bible, I fixed the boys pancakes! I know...I know...cream of wheat for my husband and pancakes for my boys!! Not fair!! :) After cleaning up the dishes, we continued with school for the day. Jeremiah is doing very well this year. He finally is loving to read! He was excited to read me 2 books yesterday!! Elijah hangs close by to the school table. In his hands, he usually has some type of Thomas the train. He is learning right along with Jeremiah. They both are doing great with scripture memorization and songs. Jeremiah's fav subjects are bible, math and recess!!!
The boys made homemade pizza at lunch and had a salad! I knew Jeremy would be home late, so I decided to make his fav meal! I made meatloaf, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, green beans, and salad with homemade dressing. I also made his fav pie...cherry lattice. I decorated it with a pastry 8 on top...genius..I know!
He got home about 7:30 p.m., we ate late @ 8 p.m., and he fell asleep shortly after!! I had to laugh!! What a celebration or lack there of!! This morning he told me "Happy Day After Anniversary". We both laughed!! Hopefully we'll be able to go out soon, when my mom and dad come up to visit. We usually get a date night, when they're here! Needless to say, I love him more today than 8 years ago. He is my rock, and I don't know what I'd do without him. I know God blessed me, when He brought Jeremy into my life!!
