Isaiah's 1st hair cut!

So cute!!
Before...

What is this place...mommy?

All done!
Big boy!
Last Saturday, I finally broke down and decided to get Isaiah's hair cut for the first time! He is 21 months, but I hated to cut the curls off!! I've always cut Jeremy's, Jeremiah's and Elijah's hair, but I was a little worried to do Isaiah's! Isaiah is a little more spunky than the rest!! haha!! Anyhow...I went into Bon-Ton department store and found a really nice hair dresser to do the job. I said "do you do kids cuts?" She said "yes!" I said "do you do kids first time hair cuts?" She just looked funny at me and replied "sure!?!" I was hoping and praying he wouldn't leave the salon looking pitiful!! He was an absolute angel for the lady! He sat still and talked to all the ladies in the salon! He kept saying "hello...hair tut!" I collected all the fallen curls(and my tears inside), and left with a big boy!

Cheap gift idea for Christmas!

This just goes to prove....you don't need to spend much on a gift...for kids to have a good time! haha! I said "what are you guys?" They replied "toilet paper monsters!" Works for me!!

Today's the day!

We got up early this morning, and got ready to go vote. Actually...I had not gone to sleep until after 2 a.m.. I just could not get my mind off today's election. We went as a family to vote this morning, and Jeremiah was very excited about going in with us! We have taken the boys with us to vote since they were born. They love going in with us, and seeing all the excitement. Today was no different! The polls were packed, as expected! We voted and got our "I voted today" sticker, and then we walked back outside. I could not help but wonder who was voting for who????!!

I've been volunteering for the Republican National Committee for our local area. Tonight Jeremiah and I are heading back to the headquarters to volunteer. I'm trying to keep my nerves in check. I know God is in control, and that I am His child. I'm sure it will be a long night!

On a lighter note, Elijah saw a elderly gentleman walking out of the polls....and he said in a excited voice "Mom...there's John McCain...yippee...I see John McCain"! I had to get a laugh out of that one!!

We took the boys for an early breakfast, which was interesting to say the least. If you're a parent, I'm sure you can relate to this story. Long story..shorter....
1. Get to the restaurant...Isaiah starts throwing a royal fit.
2. Isaiah continues to throw a royal fit.
3. Jeremy's coffee gets spilled all over the table.
4. Jeremiah and Elijah were arguing over crayons.
5. Elijah's water gets spilled all over the table and all over my skirt.
6. We have onlooker's who didn't enjoy the "show".
7. We choked our food down, and paid quickly.
8. We left a big tip!! Poor waitress!
9. We made a quick escape out the door...hoping we didn't know anyone.
10. We should've paid extra for the "100" napkins we had to use.

After all this, I noticed Elijah had a long size 5 sticker down the back of his new jeans(still attached), and that Isaiah's romper outfit had unbuttoned to look like a dress! Who knows what people thought. We got in the car, and just looked at each other. Jeremy says "well that was fun". I replied "the best breakfast we've ever had"!!! I suppose it's all in the parenting handbook that I never received!!

Election Time

November 4!! 2 days!! Who will win? Who will lose? What will happen to our country? What will our children face in the future? How far will America step away from God? Will the face of marriage change? How many more babies must die? Are some lives more important than others? Is having a better economical status better than preserving our moral values? What would God think? Who will you choose? How will America change because of your vote? Does anybody really care?

We as Christians, representatives of Christ, have one important decision to make on November 4, 2008. I do not take this decision lightly! I feel that the most important thing I need to take with me, into the voting booth, is Jesus! Somehow...many often choose to leave Him out of this process.

Our God is merciful, forgiving, loving, almighty, and Omnipotent. He will continue to take care of His people. Even in uncertain times, as these, God will provide for our needs. As Christians, let's not vote on our next country's leader based on their economical, tax, health care, or war plans. Let's stand up for Christ, and vote for what God's purpose and plan is for America. We as a country have strayed too far away from what is Godly and just! Let's take a stand on November 4, and make the right choice for our country, ourselves, our families, and our loving, and most amazing God.

"Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--His good, pleasing, and perfect will." Romans 12:2

Let us not be swayed by ads, media, or the allure of fame and fortune! Jesus is the only "Famous One". His plan is simple, His promises never broken, His love never corrupt, and His gift is free. Salvation and eternal life to all who believe! On November 4, make your vote for Jesus! He is the one true leader our country needs...we all need!!
